How do I take my learner's permit exam online?

Step 1: Purchase the Class E Knowledge Exam (Learner's Permit Exam).

Step 2: Once you complete the account creation process and/or make your payment, you will be taken to your account dashboard. When you are ready to take the exam, click "exams" on the left-hand side of the screen.

Step 3: Click the blue "Launch Exam" button.


Step 4: Fill out the information on the screen.
  • Alien # found on I-551 (Permanent Resident Card/Green Card) is 000-000-000 (dashes required)
  • Admissions # found on I-94 (Arrival/Departure Record) Form is 000000000 00 (space before the last two digits)


Step 5: Read the terms and conditions. The parent or guardian will need to be present and go through the terms with the student.


Step 6: Click the continue button when you are ready to begin the exam.
