How do I start my 8hr Adult Remedial Course?

OHIO EXCLUSIVE: This applies to any student who has registered for the 8 hour Online Adult Remedial Course for Ohio, but hasn't started the course yet.

Step 1: View the Dashboard

After you log in, you will be taken to your account overview. Navigate to your course area. You can do this by clicking "Courses" under your name, or by clicking "View" in the "My Courses" area. 


Click the "Continue" button. 


Read the quick overview about the course. Then, click the "Continue" button. 

Step 2: View and Accept the Terms and Conditions

Read the contract. Select the reason for taking the course. Then, sign your name at the bottom and click the “Continue” button.
Important:
  1. The state of Ohio requires that you complete the course within 30 days of starting it. (See #9 in the terms.)
  2. If you select the wrong reason for taking the course, you will need to pay a fee and submit a replacement form before we can issue a corrected certificate. (See #15 in the terms.)



Step 3: ID Verification

Address


The name signed on the contract will be listed on the Identity Verification Submission page.
  1. Enter the address listed on your permit. This will be used to validate your identity, and it will also be on your certificate of completion. 
  2. Enter your mailing address, since this can be different from the address on your permit. If the address is the same, you can click the box that says, "Click here if addresses are the same."

Residency

You will be asked if you've lived in the U.S. for more than 3 years. 


Process Validation

If you have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 years, you will be prompted to enter your details on this screen: 



If you have not lived in the U.S. for at least 3 years, you will be prompted to enter your details on this screen:

Once done, click "Save & Continue"

Step 4: Start the Course

If you are taken to your dashboard, go to your courses page again and if you see the blue button "Launch Course", then your ID Verification was successful and you can begin the course!

If you didn't get automatically approved, then you will be taken to the Student Affidavit instructions. If you are taken to this page, the State of Ohio requires that you send us a completed, notarized 2Cool Traffic School Student Affidavit. 
  1. Click the blue button in Step 1 to download and print the form.

    If you want to go to a library to get your document notarized, you can find Ohio notaries here.
  3. Take a photo of the completed form and then upload it to your account. 
Tip: You can use your smartphone to take a photo of the completed document and upload it to your account by logging into the website from your phone.

When you log back in to upload the completed document, go back to the Student Affidavit page above and scroll down to "Step 3: Upload Your Completed 2Cool Affidavit" where you can find the photo of your form and upload it to your account. Once you upload it, we will be notified to process it. If you are in a hurry, you can call us and we will process it over the phone so you can start the course immediately.
