How do I start my 4hr Abbreviated Adult Driver Course?
OHIO EXCLUSIVE: This applies to any student who has registered for the 4 hour Abbreviated Adult Driver Training course for Ohio, but hasn't started the course yet.
Step 1: View the Dashboard
After you log in
, you will be taken to your account dashboard where you will see your course. Click the "Accept Terms" button beside your course.
Step 2: View and Accept the Terms and Conditions
Enter your name at the bottom and then click the “Continue” button.
Note: The state of Ohio requires that you complete the course within 90 days of starting it. (See #9 in the terms.)
Step 3: ID Verification
The name signed on the contract will be listed on the Identity Verification Submission page.
- Enter the address listed on your permit. This will be used to validate your identity, and it will also be on your certificate of completion.
- Enter the mailing address where your certificate of completion should be sent. If the address is the same, you can click the box that says, "Click here if addresses are the same."
You will be asked if you've lived in the U.S. for more than 3 years.
If you have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 years, you will be prompted to enter your details on this screen:

Once done, click "Process Validation."
Step 4: Start the Course
If you are taken to your dashboard and see a green arrow on your dashboard, then your ID Verification was successful and you can begin the course!

If you didn't get automatically approved, then you will be taken to the Student Affidavit instructions. If you are taken to this page, the State of Ohio requires that you send us a completed, notarized 2Cool Traffic School Parent/Legal Guardian Affidavit.
- Click the green button to download and print the form.
- Fill it out and get it notarized. You can find Ohio notaries here.
- Take a photo of the completed form and then upload it to your account.
Tip: You can use your smartphone to take a photo of the completed document and upload it to your account by logging into the website from your phone.
When you log back in to upload the completed document, you will see the Student Affidavit button on the account dashboard. Click there, then go to "Step 3: Upload Your Completed 2Cool Affidavit" where you can find the photo of your form and upload it to your account. Once you upload it, we will be notified to process it. If you are in a hurry, you can call us and we will process it over the phone so you can start the course immediately.
